Speed up a computer - common
Regulary, each computer's device can be served during certain interruption
(time slot) to "get in touch" with it and has own interruption number.
In most computers you can find devices which you never use.
The less ammount of interruptions you have - the faster speed you get.
You can turn off some of then in BIOS:
Serials ports (COM1 - COM4). NOTE: If you use modem - leave at list one
alive
Parallel ports (LPT), if your printer doesn't use it.
USB - server, especialy router, can work wothout USB and FDD (floppy).
CD-ROM - router doesn't need CD-ROM, Sound etc.
Of cource it can be any other device which you don't need to use.
